Estimates & Pricing FAQs
Do you offer free painting estimates in Greenville, SC?
Yes. Every estimate is free and comes with no obligation. We visit your home anywhere in Greenville, Simpsonville, Five Forks and the surrounding Upstate, look at the project with you and give you a clear quote. Request your free estimate or call (864) 354-8658.
How much does it cost to paint a house in Greenville, SC?
Every home is different, so the price depends on the size of the house, the number of rooms or stories, the condition of the surfaces, how much prep and repair is needed, and the paint you choose. Instead of guessing, we measure and inspect your home during a free on-site estimate so you get an exact price before any work starts.
What affects the price of an interior painting project?
The main factors are the number of rooms, ceiling height, whether you want walls only or walls plus ceilings, trim and doors, the amount of patching or drywall repair, color changes (dark to light usually needs extra coats) and the paint quality. We list everything that’s included in your estimate so there are no surprises.
Is cabinet painting cheaper than replacing kitchen cabinets?
Yes, in most kitchens painting costs far less than new cabinets and takes much less time, with no demolition. If your cabinet boxes and doors are solid, painting is one of the best-value updates you can make. Learn more about kitchen cabinet painting.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. We ask for a 20% deposit to schedule your project and reserve your start date. The remaining balance is due as listed in your written estimate.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards, checks and Zelle. Your written estimate explains the deposit and payment schedule, so you know exactly what to expect.
Scheduling & Our Process FAQs
How long does it take to paint a house?
It depends on the size of the project and the weather. A single room is often finished in a day, a full interior usually takes several days, and most exterior house painting projects take about 4 to 6 days, depending on how big the house is. We give you a timeline with your estimate and keep you updated every day.
What does your painting process look like?
1) Free estimate and written quote. 2) Color selection and scheduling. 3) Prep and protection: we cover floors, furniture and landscaping, then patch, sand, caulk and prime. 4) Painting with clean lines and even coverage. 5) A final walkthrough with you, where we touch up anything before we call the job done.
Do I need to be home while you paint?
No. Many homeowners go to work while we paint. We just need access to the areas we’re painting and a quick check-in at the start and at the final walkthrough. Tony and the crew stay in touch by phone or text throughout the job.
Do I need to move my furniture before you paint?
Please put away small items, valuables and wall décor. Our crew moves furniture away from the walls as needed and covers everything that isn’t being painted with plastic and drop cloths, so your floors and belongings stay protected.
Do you clean up after the job?
Yes. We clean up at the end of each day and do a full cleanup before the final walkthrough, so your home is ready to use as soon as we finish.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. We serve customers in both English and Spanish. ¡Hablamos español!
Interior Painting FAQs
How often should I repaint the inside of my home?
Most homes look best with fresh interior paint every 5 to 10 years. High-traffic areas like hallways, kitchens and kids’ rooms may need it sooner, while formal rooms and bedrooms can last longer. Selling your home? A fresh coat of neutral paint is one of the best ways to make it show well.
Do you paint ceilings, trim, doors and staircases?
Yes. We paint walls, ceilings, baseboards, crown molding, doors, staircases, wall molding, accent walls and coffered ceilings. See our interior painting services.
What paint finish should I choose for each room?
A flat or matte finish hides imperfections on ceilings. Eggshell or satin works well on most walls because it’s easier to clean. Semi-gloss is the best choice for trim, doors, kitchens and bathrooms because it stands up to moisture and scrubbing. We’ll recommend the right finish for every surface.
Can you help me choose paint colors?
Yes. We can talk through colors that work with your floors, cabinets and lighting, and we can bring quart-size paint samples for $15 each, so you can test the color in your own home before you decide.
Do you repair drywall before painting?
Yes. We patch nail holes, dings and cracks as part of our normal prep, and we handle larger drywall repairs, popcorn ceiling removal and carpentry too. See our drywall and carpentry services.
Exterior Painting FAQs
When is the best time to paint a house exterior in Greenville?
Spring and fall usually bring the best painting weather to the Upstate, with mild temperatures and lower humidity. We can paint in summer too, planning around the heat and afternoon storms. Read our guide to the best time to paint your house exterior.
How long does exterior paint last in South Carolina?
With good prep and quality paint, an exterior paint job usually lasts about 7 to 10 years in the Upstate. Strong sun, humidity and how much shade your home gets all play a part. Proper pressure washing, scraping, caulking and priming make the biggest difference in how long it lasts.
Can you paint brick?
Yes. Painted brick is a popular update in Greenville. We clean the brick, make repairs, prime with a masonry primer and use breathable paint made for brick. See an example on our Greenville house painters page.
Do you pressure wash before painting?
Yes. We pressure wash exteriors before painting to remove dirt, pollen and mildew so the new paint bonds properly. We also offer pressure washing on its own for houses, driveways, decks and fences. See our pressure washing services.
What happens if it rains during my exterior painting project?
We watch the forecast closely and only paint when the weather allows the paint to dry properly. If rain is coming, we adjust the schedule or work on protected areas, so your finish is never put at risk.
Cabinet Painting FAQs
How long does kitchen cabinet painting take?
Most kitchen cabinet painting projects take several days from start to finish, because each coat needs time to dry and cure. We’ll give you an exact timeline for your kitchen during your free estimate.
Will painted cabinets chip or peel?
Not when they’re prepped and painted correctly. We clean and degrease every surface, sand, prime with a bonding primer and spray a smooth, hard-wearing finish. We’ll also show you how to care for your cabinets so they look great for years.
Can I use my kitchen while you paint the cabinets?
Yes, with some limits. The kitchen is masked off while we spray, but we’ll work with you so you can still use key areas when possible.

Is your painting work guaranteed?
Yes. Every project comes with our 2-year workmanship guarantee. If something isn’t right because of our work, we’ll come back and fix it.
What paint brands do you use?
We use premium paints from trusted brands such as Sherwin-Williams and can use the brand and color you prefer. Better paint covers better, cleans easier and lasts longer.
